Yesterday we had a big family dinner at Texas Roadhouse. For those of you not familiar with the chain, it is peanut city. They have big open barrels of peanuts every where which you are invited to eat and then just throw the shells on the floor. We had to wait about 45 minutes in the lobby (full of peanuts) and then we were there while we ate our food. DS got EXTREMELY fussy once we were at the table, which is unusual for him - he is very social, loves people & a busy room. Usually in this situation he would be distracted from fussing about anything (tired, hungry, etc.). Anyway I didn't think much of it then but we got home and he just SCREAMED, and it took me awhile to even get him calmed down enough to nurse. Then he seemed okay, but he had a really difficult time going to bed last night. He'd nurse, and then roll away and sob - we did that for over an hour. Then he woke up at midnight with a textbook croupy cough - he sounded exactly like a seal. That's when I really got concerned, because he didn't show any signs of being sick yesterday and I thought croup took awhile to come on, like usually the baby has a virus first?

Anyway he is happily jumping in his jumperoo right now. I know there are a lot of really informed mamas on here, do you think this is enough to be concerned about a peanut allergy? Or just a bunch of coincidences?

(PS - I ate a ton of peanuts too, which are not normally part of my diet.)

TIA!
