Hello Mamas,

I'm reaching out for more information and hopefully some positive stories.

I am 6w4d and have had a previous early miscarriage (in Dec.).

I've had slight cramping and spotting with this pregnancy and have been seeing a hb midwife, who is not terribly reliable for information, unfortunately.

I suspect my previous loss was due to low progesterone and when I got my bfp I asked my midwife if she thought I should have my progesterone levels checked and she said no. I asked her twice because I was skeptical.  I began spotting and cramping the next week and so I started progesterone cream and it has let up for the most part....still a little here and there.

The following week, I had hcg levels taken. They were 22,000 on Monday at 5w4d and 32,000 at 6 weeks.

My midwife called and gave me the news that this was not a viable pregnancy, the numbers were doubling too slow.

Since then, I have received info from several sources suggesting that when betas are up past 6,000 they can take much longer to double.

I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there with direct experience?

I will be going in to have a u/s next week but am...of course...having a hard time waiting this out.

Thank you Mamas,

Hillary
