9 m.o. very skinny and clicks while nursing, possible lip tie

My daughter is 9 months old and not even close to doubling her birth weight.  She was born at 8lbs 1oz, she is now maybe 14lbs 4oz or so.  She is reaching her dvelopmental milestones, shr seems happy, and she's very active.  She clicks while nursing and it looks like she has a lip tie (I have to flip her lip out, and even then, it doesn't flip out all the way).  Could this be the problem?  Any ideas?

Breastfed babies should have doubled their weight by 6 months so your situation would probably make me worried. What does your doctor say?

It does have me worried.  The doctor isn't as worried.  We had the 9 month appt today and Amaryn was off the charts with weight and dropping with Height, but her head circumference was fine.  The doctor was more concerned with her dropping on the height charts, but she said to give it until 12 months and we'll reassess then.

Hugs, mama. I know how hard it is to worry about your LO's weight.
According to kellymom.com (a great source of BF info by a LC), the average breastfed baby doubles birth weight between three and four months old so, yes, I'd be concerned.
I would see a lactation consultant ASAP and check kellymom for ways of increasing BM intake, such as breast compressions, switch nursing and always nursing BEFORE giving any solids. Offer, offer, offer the breast.
I'd also focus on high-calorie solids such as meat, egg yolks, avocado, Balkan-style yogurt, etc.
