dress shoes for toddler boy

DS is in a wedding this summer.  He needs to wear black shoes.  Anyone have any suggestions for shoes?

I guess I'd like them to be somewhat comfortable, nice looking, & not too expensive.

So far, he has only ever worn See Kai Run shoes - I checked their site & couldn't really find any black dress shoes.

I've seen toddler dress shoes that look just like miniature adult shoes - anyone know if those are comfy?  They seem to have really stiff soles - DS is used to softer soles.

Thanks!!

We've had good luck at Payless. They usually have quite a few options. I just can't stomach spending the amount I would on a pair of shoes he'll run and play in for months as something he'll wear once or twice for a couple of hours.

Do they need to be super fancy or just all black?  If the latter I would go for something like this.

I love Pedipeds!  I get them on-line the same place I get my cloth diapering stuff (Abbyslane).  They have soft-soled dressy-looking shoes that toddlers could wear for both a wedding or casually.  My DS always gets compliments on them.  They can be pricey ($30) but I usually get them on sale around $18-$23 and my DS wears them until his little socks start poking through the soles or he out grows them.

DS also has a pair of shoes that were given to him that look just like adult shoes (black, shiny, patent-leather with laces, and hard soles) but he really struggles walking in them.  He has tripped over his feet a few times while wearing them so we only do those for very formal occasions.
