I have 18 month old and five year old girls, and lately the little one has become so possessive of me. She screams and cries if my older daughter sits on my lap or if I pick her up, even if my daughter makes room for her too. She's really going through a "mama" stage, and always prefers to be with me over her dad. I know it's natural, and I suppose it's a sign we've bonded well, but it's so hard on my older daughter. She would love to "mother" her little sister herself, and often tries to take her hand when they are walking to show her things, but my toddler usually shouts, "No!" and pushes her away. She always wants to be with me instead. She sometimes refuses to give her a kiss goodnight as well. My five year old has said lately that her sister's being mean to her, and I tell she's angry and distressed. Do you have any advice?
