Washing Nightime Diapers after daytime potty trained

Now that DD uses the potty during the day I am not washing the nightime diapers as often and they are always stinky. I hate to run a load with 3 diapers in it, but if I wait a week I have to use an amonia buster every time.

What do you Mama's do?

PS I use the potty "trained" lightly, there wan't any training involved, but I can't bring myself to write "learned" wink1.gif

We use family cloth so I was running small wash loads every 3 days with the wipes and dd's nighttime diapers.  But there were times that I just threw her diapers in with our regular laundry b/c it's just pee and we use the same detergent for all our laundry.  Eventually she stopped wetting at night and I would just reuse her diaper for a couple nights and then wash it.

I think you could just soak the nighttime diaper in the toilet for a bit then ring it out and dry it out until laundry day.  That should get rid of the stink in between washing.  Otherwise just throw it in with your regular laundry and see how it goes.  I wash the occasional diaper in with something else and haven't had noticeable problems.

I would rinse the night time diaper in the sink until I couldn't smell any ammonia or pee. I would soak in warm water and Sun Oxy for a couple of hours, rinse again and hang to dry. If you can hang them in the sun that's even better. I would throw them in our regular dirty laundry or with the lights on the heavy cycle. I didn't have any problems at all. :)
