Advice on Container Planting plz

Hi all,

I live in an apt. with a balcony and have started a small garden in containers. So far I have Basil, Parsley, Chives, Beef Tomatoes, Pear Tomatoes, Bell Peppers seedlings and waiting for the Eggplant seedlings. Wish I could do more but the children need some space on the balcony to play toosmile.gif

Do I need to start putting liquid vitamins, minerals, ect.. to make sure that the plants get the nutrients they need for themselves and for us??

What are they planted in now?  Seed starting mix, potting soil, compost, dirt from the side of the road?  That would make a difference as to what to fertilize with.

If you use worms to compost with (very apartment friendly), their castings are excellent for fertilizing your baby plants.

We bought Coast of Maine Organic Potting Soil and have the Organic Miracle Grow Composit(before I read up about it). The tomatoes, Basil and Chives have a mix of each and the rest just have the potting soil we bought.

The worm thing I don't know anything about doing.
