From what I've read and my personal experience, the early ultrasounds tend to be pretty accurate. I don't think I have ever heard of more than a week off max. I also know that I measured big later in my pregnancy--2-3 weeks big depending on time, and then, suddenly (I think when baby dropped), I started measuring right on target and supposedly not growing. I think ultrasound is much more accurate early on than measuring later and I really wouldn't want to have them induce me at 36-37 weeks. There is a *lot* that happens in those last few weeks and having a preterm baby sucks. Even a little preterm. My 35 weeker did not figure out how to latch until his due date which is not uncommon. I was in breastfeeding hell for a month because of it while he struggled to gain weight.
