I am on prilosec with this pregnancy because I have such bad acid reflux and heartburn it was making me throw up. I can tell that i am getting side effects from being on it for too long and need something to get my intestines on track. Is anyone taking probiotics and if so what?

Probiotics were so helpful for me during pregnancy. I used hmf super powder...it's spendy but a really good quality probiotic. My naturopath recommended it and it works great.

I just wanted to chime in that with my first pregnancy I started getting such terrible reflex in my last trimester. I was constantly burping/spitting up all the time, and I felt so sick I was afraid to eat. I played around with my diet a little and discovered that when I took out any wheat/gluten, everything was fine. No one really understands why gluten sensativity would show itself durning pregnancy, but I still don't eat it 3.5 years later, and a feel much better than I ever did before. So, this could be your body's way of telling you about a food sensativity. Also, once my son was born we realized that HE was sensative to gluten (plus other things), that that's something to be on the look out for.
That said, DGL worked well, as did papaya enzyme.
Best of luck!
Thanks. I bought some probiotics and started making smoothies with yogurt.

I wouldn't be surprised if I did have an issue with gluten. It isn't just gluten though that is giving me acid reflux. Chocolate, tomatoes, peanut butter, and even salad gives me acid reflux.
