GA: Acworth Marietta: Plz...Need children's dentist Non-Vax parent

Drove across town for baby's first dental appt. (@ My Kids Dentist). After filling out paperwork and waiting a good while, was refused a simple (visual) exam for my 14 month old! Their excuse...He'd be endangering their staff!  They weren't helpful/understanding, or apologetic at all. 

Any other non-vax parents have a good dentist anywhere in Cobb county (GA)?

Has been truly stressful trying to find anyone to see my son, even with an exemption form. It pisses me off, bcuz it's really all about their own personal liability/insurance, and has nothing to do with the welfare of the child! I'd be willing to sign extra forms, not holding them responsible, but they don't ever offer that option. They just treat me like I'm somehow 'unfit'. 

I found some great testimonials online for Dr.Kute (peditrician) She said she'd be more then willing to have him as a patient! A big relief, and grateful!

That's bizarre.  I didn't know dentists asked about vax status; the one we go to doesn't. He's wonderful, but not in Marietta by far!  Hope you like Dr Kute. I cannot recommend her because of past experiences, but I know other people who like her.

James' appt is today. It's a big relief to find someone that will see him. He's on medicaid, which makes my choices very limited. If money wasn't an option...I'd take him to non-alopathic doctor to start with. It just continues to amaze me how close-minded doctors are. Guess that's where the term "indoctrinated" comes from. :/

Curious about your experiences with Dr.Kute. Hope nothing really terrible. 

She's the only one who take him as a patient, and I'm extremely grateful for that at least.

I'll have to PM you about my experience.

I know for sure there are other peds out there who will see unvaxed kids.  We go to Decatur to see Dr. Marion Owen, but she has a waiting list now. If you search on this forum you should find a few- I seem to remember there are a couple over in Woodstock, which might work for you depending on where you are.  Good luck, I hope he has a happy appointment!

We had a ton of trouble finding a ped that was ok with non vax'd kids, and I moved here from New england and up there kids can just go to family drs, but not down here, they have to go to a ped. Kennesaw pediatrics is where my kids go on paper... but we rarely go... Ive heard they are cool with not vaxing though.

We dont do fluoride either and they were ok with it. The kids had FUN at this dentist too and have been asking when we can go back LMAO!

Yeah thats too far. We live in Marietta right now, and will be moving to acworth in a few weeks. There is no one nearby us that is good :( its a bummer! There seem to be PLENTY of docs in alpharetta and that side that are more alternative etc. BUMMER!
