Does anyone know a Doctor that is open to a Delayed Vaccination schedule in Nassau County, NY area? I am getting tired of doctor's calling me a conspiracy theorist because I don't want to give my kid 6 vaccinations when he is 1 month old, or telling me that I am killing my kid if I don't get the Flu Vaccine.

Moving to your local area where you'll get more responses. smile.gif

I'm looking for the same thing in Nassau county. Have you found a Dr yet? I don't know of one yet, but I will ask my midwife the next time I see her.

Hi!

The only one I found in Nassau was Dr Elissa Rubin in Mineola but I ended up going with Dr Tomei in Huntington who I liked more. PM me if you want any more info!

Good luck!

When we lived in Long Beach, we used Douglas Friedfeld at Island Pediatrics. He was personally pro-vax, but also open to supporting our selective and delayed vax preferences. His philosophy was pretty much, "I'll give you my recommendations, and discuss your concerns, but it's your kid, and you need to do what's right for you."  As an aside, when we were equivocating about the flu vaccine, he was also frank enough to let us know that he didn't give it to his own kids. As I recall, he also doesn't administer the Rotavirus vax as a matter of course, despite its presence on the APA schedule.
