Is there a woodworking community here?

I joined and posted in an actual woodworking forum, but apparently they were put off by my complete and utter ignorance. 

I've been finishing a dining room table that I made, and I'm having so much fun! I have a lot of questions, though -- I really don't know what I'm doing. Is there a woodworking group here? Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have no idea but thought I would say hi since I sorta do some woodworking. My dad was really into woodworking when I was growing up and I still do some sometimes.
