Has anyone here battled with Staph infection?

Hi mama's! I'm new here. I've been cloth diapering my 4 month old since birth and are battling our first rash, which happened to turn out as staph. I took all our diapers and washed them on hot with a half cup of bleach. He's on oral antibiotics for the next 10 days, and I plan to use flats and prefolds during that time and bleaching those at each wash. I'm trying to find some reassurance that this will take care of the bacteria in his diapers. I've been trying to search online and see a lot of cases where the infection keeps popping up and people end up quitting cloth because of it. I don't want to let that happen. Any other advice? Anyone here with experience with this? TIA! :)

No experience with Staph. But what type of diapers do you have? Some diapers you can also boil, which is another good way of sanitizing.

I delt with it in our first.. Honestly  bleach was the best thing. We actually had to coutinue with it for the duration of her CD years or she'd flare up again. He skin just seemed to become hyper sensitive to bacteria and such after the infection hit. I only needed about 1-2 table spoons per load but if I skipped that the rashes quickly returned...I used the clorox ultimate care which is more gentle on the fabrics and still contains the active ingredients in regular bleach known to disinfect..

We had pockets various fabrics of fitted prefolds pul nylon and fleece covers ect and nothing every got damaged. WIth the small exception that my prefolds became lighter and I had some colored kissaluvs (3rds ) that lost there coloring.. Other printed diapwers surived fine. I actually had covers work better after starting bleach and of course clear skin made it worth it...

Now saying that with my current I use a product called nappy fresh.http://www.realnappiesusa.com/cloth-diaper-accessories/nappy-fresh-diaper-santizer-1-1-lb-pack.html I LOVE LOVE can't say enough LOVE the stuff its been the finial key to keeping my LO skin TOTALLY rash free ALL the time. Its an atibacterial cleaner but without the harsh stuff bleach has. a heaping table spoon added with your detergent also will knock out stinkies if thats an issue and helps remoe stains.. A bag lasted us a bit over 6 months.
