Soil for a raised bed

Hi,

I am totally new to gardening but I've been thinking about doing this for awhile and my daughter is showing great interest in this as well.  Anyway, I'm at a total loss about getting this project off the ground.  I decided to get a 3x6 raised bed with a liner to keep weeds out.  Our soil is super rocky and I know that I won't be able to dig it up.  So, what do I fill my bed with?  I'm looking for super easy, uncomplicated instructions.  I've been looking on the internet but there is just too much info and too many differing opinions.  Help straighten me out please!

Thanks!

I'm a total newbie too, but I'm using this plan:

I like how the instructions are very beginner-level and don't get too bogged down about doing everything perfectly right. She says to just use whatever potting soil you want, and mix it with various composts to create a nice nutrient mix.
