My newborn leaks!

My 2.5 week old little girl is perfect in every way, except that she leaks poop. Is this normal? It didn't happen with my son. She has a drop or two of mustard poo come out every few minutes it seems, sometimes a small squirt, and sometimes a big squirt. The squirts seem intentional, but the drips seem to just leak out. It has been happening since she first got the mustard poop (a little after my milk came in). Will she grow out of it, or is there something wrong? Is there anything I can do?

Thanks!

Not sure if my LO leaked constantly, but she always had at least a tiny bit of poo in her diaper at every change. I changed her often. While I was changing her diaper she would also always have a little bit of poo come out. Sometimes I thought I'd never get a clean diaper on her because I'd wipe her and then there would be more poo!

It finally stopped around 4 months old. Now she poops about twice a day and there isn't any poo in between anymore.

My six week old was doing the same at two-and-a-half weeks. Then he started getting really fussy and was clearly having gas pains/difficulty pooping. We started doing some infant massage on his tummy, and he would fart like mad, the have a couple really big poops. After a couple weeks of the massage, he stopped being fussy and started getting out the gas/poop on his own in a couple big poops a day, and when that happened, he stopped leaking!

Where can I find out how to do tummy massage? That sounds like a good thing to try!

If you search youtube for videos on infant tummy massage, you'll have a few examples!
