Hey all, not sure if this is normal or not, I don't remember it happening with my son. My milk came in on day 2, so she's had 2 days of my milk so far..this morning, and most of the day she'll nurse, then almost immediately after nursing she'll have a poo, but it's almost purely liquid, like cloudy orange(breast milk poo color) pee, it's so liquid, with very little "seeds" in it.. BM poo usually looks like seedy orange, but it has very little solid matter in it. She'll go on a cluster nursing thing for a couple hours, followed almost immediately by a poo, then sleep for a long time. She's been sleeping well at night, but this just started today. I called the pediatrician and they want her to come in, but they recommended that I go ahead and cut out dairy from my diet. Oh, and it also smells sour, almost like spit up, not that typical sweet smell that BM poo has. Anyone ever experience this? Did cutting out dairy help?

I haven't, but keep in mind that you milk is far from fully in. That said, there could be a food issue. I'm the kind to wait and see and try things on your end and give it a few days, or the weekend. ie not ignoring it but doing some investigating, and experimenting with your diet, infant orobiotics, etc. She IS pooping which is most important.

We had this for about three days. I never cut dairy out, and everything was fine. Personally, (I know this isnt a popular belief here) I feel like if you leave your diet alone, the baby will get used to it. I never cut out anything that they say you "shouldnt" eat while nursing. My kid can tolerate foods better than I can. She can eat hotter food than I can, she has no problems with dairy, and so far I havent seen any allergies.
