neti pot and 6 year old with bad hayfever

my 6 year old son has been using a neti pot every night for the last 2 weeks to help him with his congested nose

warm water and a tiny scoop of salt (deiodized)

he's developed a cough and lost his voice a couple of days ago

just wondering if this could be a side effect of using the neti pot and wondering if anyone else uses a neti pot with their child and it's ok

i really don't want to stop because it's made a huge difference for him but didn't want to do anything wrong...

Sounds like you're doing the right thing to me! For sinus relief, I also use humidifiers, herbs, and "sinus soup" http://www.healthyfutures.com/blog/sinussymptomrelief to really get things moving :)
