Anyone know the Gender of their baby ? - Page 2

So I did have my ultrasound the other day at 15w5d (normal ultrasound, NOT 3-d) and we found out we'rd have a BOY!!! We're soooo thrilled! I've know the whole time. :)

My mom was a bit disappointed, she really wanted a girl. OH WELL. She'll just have to get over it.

I wanted to find out and we had some ultrasounds around 13/14 weeks and they couldn't even guess then and since then I decided just to be surprised. I'm feeling strongly it's a boy though and I'm excited about that which is surprising to me because I went into this afraid I'd be disappointed if it's a boy. Now I'm excited to meet whomever is in there! DH feels as strongly that it's a girl though as I do it's a boy. We'll find out in 6 months or less... smile.gif

We have scheduled our ultrasound for June 9th, so hopefully I'll know then.  My husband was strongly feeling girl at first, but now has no feelings.  I haven't really had any all pregnancy.  I'm just very excited to see my little one.  I've only just recently started showing, and I still am not feeling completely connected to this life growing in me, so I'm hoping the ultrasound will help me along with that.

The ultrasound help me and my DH SOOO much with connecting to Baby. I had really bad morning sickness and was feeling like being pregnant really sucked and I was almost wondering if we'd made a mistake and if we should have waited, blah blah blah.

But, then my morning sickness cleared right up, I started feeling Baby move and then we got the ultrasound and found out it's a boy and WOW I am feeling so very connected to our baby, now. I just love him so much already and just a few weeks ago he was just an 'it' inside of me making me sick. DH feels much more connected, too, now that he knows it a boy and we can start calling him by the name we've chosen. It has made a huge difference for us both love.gif

Huge congratulations to Tourng and Mal85 on your girls and Talktomenow and LunaLady on your girls!!! thumbsup.gif

I've been on a rollercoaster ride the last week or so.. I was told most likely a boy last Monday... then I couldn't stand the not knowing and got a private scan on Wednesday. Got a total shock when the lady said we're having a girl!!! she was 100% sure.. but I'm still skeptical! So we're having another private scan this Friday to know once and for all! The stress I'm surprisingly experiencing abut this just isn't good for me. I guess if they say girl again and we get a good potty shot I'll believe it.. but I'm trying hard to prepare myself to hear boy again.

Here are my pics (very blurry) what do you girls think?

see post below!

thanks xx

I'm so glad to hear that.  I've been feeling like I'm letting people down by not being all goo-goo at this point.  I know it's common, but my husband is already just so in love with this baby and I'm feeling . . . happy it's coming, but that's about it.  Come on June 9th!

Juniperberry~ Those pictures are blurry. I think I'd be more inclined to believe being told a boy. Since you only usually hear of people being told they are having a girl to later find out they are really having a boy.

Pretty close up, right? If it's close up, then I say most definitely a girl. I'm not an expert, but I went through the same thing. A "Pretty sure it's a boy!" followed by a "Definitely, no doubt, a girl!" ultrasound. I had a girl. So I went through a LOT of gender ultrasound videos where the baby had already been born and I'd say I'm pretty good at telling now from stills.

I was a 'boy' on my ultasound ;) I hear FAR more "It's a boy!" ulttrasounds turning out to be girls at birth than vice versa. And from those pics, I'm pretty sure that's a little girl. Two bumps=labia. A 'turtle with the head poking out" is a boy. I see the classic 'hamburger' girl shape, quite clearly, in both pics.

I found out yesterday...it is a BOY!  Everyone kept telling me they thought it was a boy...and they were right!  We are happy and excited.

Not much of my girl stuff will work for him though...so there is a lot to figure out!

I think if I were you, I'd want the third scan too! It may seem like a little much just to find out the gender, but those pictures confuse me! The first one, I thought boy when I looked, but it was reeeaaalllly hard to tell, I had to look very closely. Second one, my first thought was girl.... I'd definitely want to get a better look.

I think boy when I look at those pics as well :)

I find out at 6pm tonight! I'm so excited that I can't sleep! I have my VBAC consult at 11am and I was just woken up by the baby moving like crazy. It's going to be a baby centric day! :)

We just had a quick sneak peak with a CNM friend today at 16w 5d and got a "it could possibly be a boy" but nothing definite. We'll hopefully be able to tell better at my u/s on the 21st!

:) This is my very first post on Mothering! :) Yay! Happy to announce that during the u/s yesterday, we found out that our first baby will be a little BOY! This just confirmed the "gut intuition" I was having that it was indeed a boy. :) I'm so excited. It was incredible to be able to watch him moving around inside for the first half of the exam, and then he decided to curl up and take a nap. :)

At the beginning of my pregnancy I was sure it was a girl.  After months of everybody insisting it was a boy, I started to think they were probably right.

So at the ultrasound the other day when the tech said GIRL I nearly died, I couldn't believe it!  Its been 3 days, Ive bought a ton of girl stuff, and it just still hasn't sunk in all the way- Im not disappointed at all, I just came to have an expectation of it being a boy then found out it was a girl...mind trip.

I've been saying I'm no going to find out.

But I've been having a really hard time connecting to this baby and being "into" this pregnancy. I'm super Type A, and when something unplanned happens, least of all something huge like a pregnancy at the absolute wrong time,  I tend to sulk about it. My midwife suggested we find out the sex of the baby to help us bond.

Right from the get-go, I've had very strong "girl" vibes, but lately I've second guessed it. Same as I did with Lyra.  All the dreams I've had the baby is a boy (but in all my dreams, Lyra was a boy, too. Except once when she was kittens)

So I think I'll have the tech write down the sex on a piece of paper and I'll open it at home, on my own turf, when I'm ready. Our ultrasound is on the 6th
