Suggestions for vaccinations pre-surgery

Hi everybody.  My daughter was born a month ago with a cleft lip/palate and will be having the lip repaired at the end of June.  We're following Dr. Sears' schedule (with a few changes here and there) but the date her surgery is scheduled comes right up against the 2 months he recommends starting with vaccination and I don't want to vax her too close to the surgery date just in case she has a reaction.  She has an appointment with her doctor on Thursday for her one month visit and I was hoping to get some help deciding what (if any) vaccines we should consider getting for her prior to her surgery.  I was thinking of bumping up what Dr. Sears recommends at 2 months (DTap and Rotavirus) to her 1 month appointment and then skipping all vaccines at 2 months so she can recover from the surgery and going back to the schedule after that?  She is currently unvaxed (we opted against the Hep vax when she was born).  Are there any vaccines that any of you would think would be a good idea for her to be vaxed against prior to being in the hospital or would just sticking with Dr. Sears' schedule and having her go in for the surgery unvaxed be okay?   It's a relatively simple surgery but she will be in the hospital over night.  There's just so much information and things to consider so any advice would be welcomed.  Thanks in advance!

As far as I understand, you can't get the DTaP and Rota vaccines prior to 2 months, so that wouldn't be an option.

Personally I think it would be fine to wait until after the surgery to get the vaccines you've decided on.  Rotavirus is very treatable, and the DTaP doesn't have very good protection after just one dose anyway, so in the unlikely event that your daughter is exposed to any of those 3 illnesses, having one dose of the vaccine may not even do her much good.

Best wishes.

That's what I was thinking myself.  She is on breastmilk - I exclusively pump for her - so I felt like she was probably in a pretty good position to start off with but I just wanted to make sure I had all my bases covered to keep her as safe as I could under the circumstances.  Thanks for the input!
