Kind of. It isn't nearly anything like 1st trimester nausea but it comes and goes. I've been having trouble cooking this pregnancy- that makes me really sick so we eat a lot of salads and take out. Sometimes I'll get an intense wave and think, "Some women get nauseated during labor...maybe this is it."

For those of you who didn't know: my husband is a wild land firefighter and of course we are having one right now. They are going to demobilize him on Thursday because of my pregnancy. I will be 38.5 weeks then. We started renovations right before the fire so the house is in shambles. I physically can not get to the baby clothes in the attic and I feel so bad complaining to him about this stuff while he is risking his life in the smoke and the heat. He keeps saying, "I'm sorry. I couldn't predict a fire." BUT I did ask him to get some stuff done 2 months ago (including the painting which can not wait til after the baby) and he procrastinated. So, I do blame him because you never know when an emergency is going to arise.

Much love and vibes to everyone.

Wheee prodromal labor!! At least we have settled into a routine. About an hour after I wake up I lose a chunk of plug, then in the afternoon I have a set of contractions that goes away for a while and then comes back at night. I've gotten to the point with some of the milder ones that I can almost ignore them, sometimes they get a little more intense and I have to breath through them, but sofar nothing super crazy.

However, it did get our butts in gear and we have the bags packed and the house is clean, so that is awesome. Also, since the baby waited we get to go to my husbands graduation for his Phd tonight. YAY! So excited and proud of him.

Guess all I had was prodomal labor. I was sure it was the real thing with how painful things got and how long things lasted but, guess not. http://childbirthsolutions.com/articles/what-happens-during-labor/

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh i am SO FREAKING UNCOMFORTABLE. like rocking my body back and forth kind of sore. derek took haye to mcdonald's duck.gifto play so that i can rest. i feel awful...honestly. my midwife told me to take tylenol and even gravol to sleep if i can't sleep at night. i just took a tylenol and am laying on the heating pad. i feel like this baby is laying in a strange position on a nerve or something annoying causing me extreme discomfort. holy. i really wish this was labour, like really. i am soooo over this.

I had this and drinking lots of water helped a bunch.

Feeling a little more ok today. No signs of labor what so ever so I think we have time to finish organizing our house.  Baby is still moving a ton too. I think I've bonded better with this baby inutero than the other two. It might be because I know that he's a boy (as opposed to not knowing that the others were girls) and can call him by name.  Really starting to look forward to him joining us!

Checking in seeing if any of you lovely ladies have had your babies yet. My DSL is STILL acting up. If you don't hear from me for a day or two, don't assume it's because I've had this little bugger lol... he's being quite stubborn. Couldn't be born on the date I guessed lol...

Yes, I can't stand the thought of food most of the time and really hate having to cook for the family.  I'm definitely feeling ready to be normal again.

Everything is boring here.  Had an appt today, didn't get checked though.  My Mom is here now so I'm not on much...I'll make sure to post when baby arrivessmile.gif

had a appt today with the midwife...but other than I measure 39 1/2 weeks, nothing is very much going on. I declined to get checked because either way (IMO) it doesn't mean so much.

IT helped today to wear the support stockings and sneakers...but now they are gving me trouble. Tomorrow I have an appt with the chiro, gotta get my butt screwed on right or I am going to have a dickens of a time during labor (wheneve that may be!)

Got a bit tired today of people asking me "when?" and you should try this....I know they all mean well and are excited for me, but I really don't have an answer...the baby will come when he/she comes.

For REAL! If one more person suggests sex, breast pump, etc. to me I'm gonna scream. I've already been through 2 bottles of EPO...

I've been feeling nauseous on and off, too.  DH has been awesome about making the meals this past week.  I love that man.  Getting more and more uncomfortable and I wish I could just get a good nights sleep.  Yesterday was a very unproductive day...  just lounged around and let the kids watch movies.  I hate having days like that.  The house is now a mess and I'll get to do twice the work today to get it back in order.  eyesroll.gif  Thinking of just saying screw it and taking the kids to the museum.  I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow and my mom is coming into town this weekend.  I can't wait to see her!  It would be perfect timing if baby decided to arrive this weekend while she is here.

Hi everyone... hope all goes well... still hanging in at 41 + 1. Is Samstress still about? Maybe some labor happening there? Fingers crossed.

I feel like I am letting everyone else down if I don’t have a natural childbirth. I am a very active member of the NCB community in our area. I know it shouldn’t matter to me what others think but I don’t want the pity from my birthy friends and I don’t want the  “I told you so”s from my other friends.

My first birth was the most empowering wonderful experience of my life; it was everything NCB advocates say that birth should be.  The second one sucked for all 42 hours I was in labor.  I’m scared to do that again, really scared.  I’m scared of the epidural too. I get this throwy uppy feeling in my throat when I think about a needle going into my back. I am scared it will make the recovery harder- I had really easy recoveries both times.  I am scared it will give me a spinal headache or maim me for life.  But I also think I might be more afraid of the pain and exhaustion.

OK, went to my OB's office today. I've got a NST scheduled for Thursday and a c-section scheduled for Monday. I'm not giving up though!! I'm about to hit up the bottle of castor oil... wish me luck!

I had a lumbar puncture from hell a couple years ago and I can visualize handling lots of pain more than I can handle the thought of a needle in my back and any complications similar to what I had at that time.  So I can definitely sympathize!!!! Sometimes I freak out thinking about it. What if something goes wrong and I have to get a c-section... then there will def be a needle in my back.  anyway... Our birthing class has helped me a lot to feel calmer.  Being at a birth center vs. hospital has helped too b/c then i really have no option for drugs.

Have you made any preparations for handling the pain (mentally?)  sounds like you still have a little time.... a good book to thumb through is Birthing from Within. I was suprised my library actually had it or you could have it shipped fast online.  If anything, I would be totally freaked out if my husband were away like yours is...  I am really depending on him. I hope you have another person who will be around to support you....  Forget what other people think.  :)  I know easier said than done....!

becca- Good luck!!!! I hope just the threat of castor oil is enough to scare that baby out! That's what happened with my oldest hahaha

lulu- Thanks. I do have a doula who is great. She knows I am considering a hospital transfer for pain relief and she is, of course, totally supportive of whatever I decide during labor. I've been doing some Birthing from Within classes with a friend who is becomming certified and I feel amazingly calm when I am in them it's just when I am out and remembering that I have to go through labor again that I start to freak out.

I had nausea with Z throughout, and am having it this time also. Its not as bad >20 weeks (not like the typical morning sickness) but it is still there. Sometimes its after I eat, sometimes if I'm hungry, etc. Its definitely annoying!!!

I've been not chiming in here that often, I was much more active on mothering w/ Z for some reason. But doing well, 39 weeks, hoping for a late baby again (I know that puts me in the minority, but I have very easy pregnancies and am fine with getting an extra week smile.gif ) still able to bike to work, which has been great, though my last ultimate frisbee game I think was this past Friday (my groin just got way too sore afterwards)

still feeling a bit unprepared I guess. Working on a quilt, its close to at least all being pieced (only 2 more seams really! but big ones smile.gif and then I have to put in batting and baste, etc) Soakers are all done as well thanks to my mom who knitted way more than I asked for, but oh well smile.gif (I like it when my babes wear more of my stuff than hers, but w/ the quilt I didn't really have as much time anyway!)

Ill probably work right up until the end, rather than my due date, but I am hopefully going to take some days off (either this Friday or next Monday) to spend some quality time with my Z before he becomes not-an-only-child smile.gif

and even though I seem to have easy pregnancies, labor with Z was NOT easy. 72 hours, and needed pitocin, and they ended up breaking my waters right towards the end (which means that is what worked! but it was an accident, during a check) I did end up w/ a natural birth, and overall it wasn't too bad considering the length (I did the first 24 hours at home) but I was *exhausted* and had to push for 90min after all of that.

so, hoping its quicker this time smile.gif even just so I'm not away from Z for that long greensad.gif

Know the feeling.  I've been contracting pretty regularly all day and my body has been "cleansing"...I just want this show to get on the road all ready.  I've never dealt with contractions prior to labor so this is driving me crazy and every single one reminds me of what I still have to go through(and I really can't complain as my labors are pretty short, but I'm still dreading it).

Hugs Rylee!

I've been feeling this way a lot lately! I do want to make it to dd's soccer tournament this weekend though so I've got good reason for him to stay in until Monday.....just would like to 1) not worry about going into labor in the middle of the tournament, 2) be able to walk without pain and waddling 3) meet the baby!
