discharge or mucus plug?

hi i am 39 weeks and 4 days pregnant today and i have had alot of pure white sticky discharge. its almost like chewing gum. its not snotty lookin just sticky although i did get a little bit of snotty looking discharge as the day went on. my doctor treated me for thrush a couple weeks back but im not sure if this is my mucus plug or just excessive discharge can anyone help please.??

Well, my mucus plugs are definitely slippery, stretchy/stringy, and mostly clear, usually streaked with blood.  When I would wipe it would just hang out of me and I'd actually have to grab it and pull it to clean myself off.  White and sticky doesn't sound the same to me, but perhaps it's just the beginning of something more.  When it starts to come out, you'll know!  And the appearance of streaks of blood is really the indicator that you're dilating.
