I got a call this morning, asking if I could go in for an appointment with the doctor I'm hoping to switch to, Tuesday!  joy.gif  That's exactly two weeks since the last appointment (and the day I hit 30 weeks), meaning I lose no appointments, and - unless there's a surprising lack of liking for this new doctor - will be in the care of someone whose past decisions, at least, leave me a lot more comfortable....

Yay!!

I used the slow cooker to make a batch of black beans yesterday.  I haven't really cooked anything since Feb, so it felt really good...and they taste really good too!

They accepted the offer on the house we were wanting to buy!!!  Looks like there's a good chance we'll be in a new house before the baby gets here!

Yeah we just moved into the rent house we're in now this past weekend.  It was ridiculous!  All I can say is my poor husband!  He was so good to me though.  He said next time I'll be more supervising than anything, so at least he understands that I'm not gonna be able to do much.  But I'm so excited!  We were so worried we wouldnt be able to do anything before August, but the couple moving out need to get out quick and we need to get in quick so I think it may work well.  But I'm not unpacking anything we don't absolutely need so I don't have to do it all again we can just move when the time comes.  And baby needs to stay put til then!

I finished and have all of my personal trainer CEU's, ethics classes, course requirements, etc. ready to mail out tomorrow.  Now I'm good for another two years. biggrinbounce.gif

One of my very dear friends went into labor about an hour after she unpacked the nursery, on the day she moved in to her house (the first house she and her partner every bought, in fact).  It's kind of a sweet story...  But fingers crossed that your bun stays firmly planted in that oven until you get settled!!

That's gotta be such a relief.  I love crossing off things like that.  It's such a weight lifted off your shoulders winky.gif

while i should have been studying all weekend for my encroaching finals, the weather here was beautiful for a three day stretch!! this is the first time all season.....  so clearly, i blew off my studtying and spent hours upon hours in the sunshine and garden. oh my goodness, what a difference the time and love has made! i was even able to get the little house i've been dreaming of for the kiddos to play in this summer all ready to grow up....it is a form made from long stiacks and bamboo, with sunflowers, tall snapdragons, sweet peas, cosmos, and willow growing up and all around. i have had the willow alone rooting since february.... what can i say, i am a fair weather gardener.shrug.gif  doesn't mean i can't dream in the winter.winky.gif

so the yard is starting to look beautiful and amazing.....and......this is finals week!!! i am done with two classes, and only have three more to get through tests with before i can cross this term off my list. that will feel so good. i am never, never, taking 18 credits again. i am, however, taking 12 credits this summer.....ack! ......but mostly they will be online credits, and one class i have had many a promise that the teacher is super accomodating, and that the class has a lot of good info but is still easy. right up my alley this summer. it will help the time to pass....

omg, 8 more weeks! i will be holding this babe before i know it. i have so much i have to get done!

I've been feeling creative this week.   I re-wrote a short story I originally wrote a couple of years ago, and also wrote an essay (about the weird negative things people sometimes say to pregnant ladies).

Also, I just peeked at my Amazon registry and noticed 5 more items have been purchased!  I managed to resist the urge to scroll down and see what they were or who bought them.  So it looks like I will get some surprises in the mail soon!

Finally got inspired with colors for painting most of the rooms in the new house-- the theme?  "Serenity in a Tree House"-- we're in a wood-sided home in the woods, hence the tree house feeling, and I want every room to inspire a soothing, zen-like feeling.  For the first time in my life I'm bringing out some taupes!  I've always had very brightly colored rooms in my house, but the trouble with this new house is that brightly colored rooms would not fit well with the general vibe.

And, we're meeting with a doula today!

Congrats Bethany on the house!  And I am here for any moral support you might need-- we just went throught the same thing!!  I actually made sure I was out of town the day of the move, only because I know myself and I would have overdone it and lifted boxes, moved furniture, etc.  was better that way-- DS and I took off for the day, and DH recruited his guys to help move.

Thank you!  I know it's gonna be rough but its so worth it!  Yeah, my husband has several guys that he works with that are coming to help us move everything.  I'll probably have our 2 yo to take care of.  My husband usually tells me when I'm doing too much, I get cramps and super swollen feet and ankles so he makes me sit down.  I just really really want this move to be done before the baby gets here.  I'm so excited!  The kitchen is huge and the backyard is huge!

Congratulations! It's also awesome that you'll still have much of the stuff packed.

It must feel great to have all of that accomplished!

Congratulations on your yard/garden progress! And good luck on your finals. That sounds like a very hectic schedule, indeed.

Congrats on the creative writing! I LONG to feel inspired to write creatively--and to find the time. Then again, maybe that's my problem. Maybe I should just jump in!

And, we're meeting with a doula today!

My good news of the day (I think) is that it appears I passed my glucose test. The nurse called me this morning to say that it appears I passed the test, but she's just awaiting confirmation from the lab that they made an error. I took the 2 hour test and I guess the lab gave 2 different readings for the fasting draw: 74 & 193. So it's a huge difference. The 1 hour draw was 95 and the 2 hour draw was 121.The nurse thinks the correct fasting draw was 74 because it wouldn't have gone from 193 to 95 in an hour. The 74, 1 & 2 hour draws are all normal. Hopefully they don't make me take the test again based on their error. But, yes, it appears I've passed it. Even if I have to take it again, I feel confident that I will pass it. :-)

Okay, so my good news isn't such good news. The lab was unable to confirm the results, but I'll vent about that in the complaint thread. eyesroll.gif

BUT for good news, truly good news that no doctor's office can put a damper on, my DH woke me gently this morning to ask me where the letter was that I needed mailed and he was so beautiful and truly angelic at that moment. It was such a sweet way to start my day (of course, I did fall back asleep afterward). Also, DH is grilling out tonight, so all I have to do is cut up some veggies for supper. carrot.gifbroc1.gif

I just took a 3 hour nap. blush.gif That never happens and now I am all groggy lol.  But I haven't been sleeping much thanks to my meds, and I am sick so it was much needed sleep.  :)

I am feeling really really happy about hitting my 3rd trimester! WOO HOO! I feel like I am prematurely celebrating, but I just can't help it. I'm sure I'll get hit with anxiety again, as it seems to be ever looming, but for today, I'm just happy!

joy.gif

I've got the song from Annie in my head "I think I'm gonna like it here" where everyone is singing "We've never had a little girl" with such joy...and I'm just all over that song, wanting to have the boys memorize it so we can all sing her to sleep with it every night. It's cheesy, and they will never agree to such a thing, but...I can play it in my mind. joy.gif

So yeah....I'm in the final stretch...and my little buttercup is alive....and everything looks pink and rosy today. So YAY!

My mother and I talked on the phone for a little bit - I miss her so much (She lives in RSA, I live in Canada)

Last night DH went out to watch a movie with a friend (first time since our babe was born) and I watched a rom-com, took up all the space on the couch and ate waaaay too many choc-chip cookies!

When DH got home he gave me a massage.heartbeat.gif

The sun is shiningjoy.gif

DH works his last 12 hour shift today and will be starting a 9-4 job on Monday!

Last night my 2 yo daughter finally felt her baby sister move!  Usually I can't keep her focus long enough to keep her hand still to feel her move but we got the timing right last night.  She loves to hug, kiss and talk to my belly.  I put her hand on my stomach and baby kicked for her twice!  She just giggled!  It was such a sweet moment!  Oh my precious girls!  I can't wait to see them together for the first time!
