growler tapes/boomerang

Thread Starter

I'm looking for reviews of growler tapes and boomerang radio.

Are they good, what is the content like?

Are there others that are similar to these?

I'd be particularly interested in ones that are funny.

We have a bunch of Boomerang episodes (maybe 10?) and my son loves them and re-listens to them often (on his ipod). There are definitely funny sections of each episode, but the historical part is generally pretty serious. He's learned about Jacques Cousteau, Babe Ruth, Helen Keller and tons more. So I heartily endorse them for 7 y.o. and up!

For anyone who's interested, their website is:
