Mousse-y poo?

Yes, another one of those lovely poo posts ;)

For reference, DS is 5.5 months.

I have had off and on issues with oversupply.  DS prefers to nurse for very short periods of time, but very frequently (less than five minutes every 1.5 hours or so, unless we're out and about, then he'll go up to 3 hours).  My letdown is hard and fast, so I've always assumed he fills up on that then isn't interested.  I've tried offering the same side again ten or fifteen minutes later, but he always rejects.  So instead I just go with him, let him feed whenever he wants, putting him back on the same side until what I can express is nice and creamy.  I usually have to feed three or four times on one side in order to see any hind milk, and this is also the only way I don't have super crazy mega oversupply..

Anyway, I'd gotten the oversupply under control, then we visited family for a weekend and DS was distracted by all the faces he could grab at, and only wanted to nurse about every 3 hours for both days.  There was some night cluster feeding, but not much.  As anticipated, his poo was bright green and really frothy for about a week until my boobs settled back down.  Then we got a couple of normal looking yellow seedy poos, and now this - mousse poo.

It's been three weeks since the green poo was gone.  For over a week, his poo is a good normal color, but full of teeny tiny bubbles that make it look like mousse.  Cappuccino foam.  It even sounds like the milk frothers at cafes or a whipped cream can when it comes out.

He's back on his previous normal feeding routine.  The only thing I can think is that I have been eating differently, going from no sugar whatsoever to loads of it (DH's birthday, BIL's birthday, two of my brothers' birthdays...there's been lots of cake and ice cream...).

Could it be sugar from my diet doing this?  If frothy poo is an indicator of too much (sweet) foremilk, would too much sugar in mom's diet do something similar?  I'm just thrown off that it's a normal color, not the green that I associate with foremilk poo.

Help a mama out, wise ladies!

I remember DS3 and DS4 sounding like cappuccino machines around 5-6 months. I don't remember why. but I also deal wit oversupply
