We are very excited to share the news of our daughter Sonja’s birth on Friday afternoon. She weighed eight pounds exactly. She came flying into the world after an uneventful 20 hrs on pitocin, 45 minutes of hard labor, and 5 minutes of pushing. She had very low blood sugar and needed to go to the NICU after birth, but after nursing and finger feeding an ounce of donor breastmilk she was fine and we left the hospital the next day. We are all resting happily at home and enjoying our first few days as a family of four.
