classic/traditional cookbook-grain free/low grain

I was lucky enough to receive an amazon gift card recently and I'm looking forward to using it!  I'm looking to get a new cookbook and I'd love some input from some foodies.

My family is grain/gluten free.  I have no problem if the cookbook contains these things (I'm not looking for a boring old gluten free cookbook.)  I just don't want to have to discard 3/4 of it as a result.  What I DO want is classic dishes, peasant cuisine, etc.  Meat is fine with us, and I love traditional aspects of cuisine as well as history, so many bonus points if it contains this.

I guess soups, stews, roasted meats, fish, eggs etc is what I'm really looking for.  Grains are most definitely not the focus, but if it has a grain section that I can ignore for an amazing meat section I'm in.

Does anyone have any thoughts?  Thank you!

subbing... but I also pulled out a favorite of mine which Seasonal Food by Susannah Blake.  I got it last year at half price books as a gift to myself smile.gif

It's mostly focused on around the concept of cooking with what is available and is organized by season & then by veg, but includes several meat dishes and quickly flipping through some do have grain in the recipe but can be easily modified to drop it.

This is the book I got when my family had to go lower carb/grain free for a period of time....I think it is just like what you are describing although they do tend to lean to the lower fat side of thinking but you can easily adapt that yourself. I really like it.
