Help with transplaning roses

Thread Starter

I have 2 rose bushes at the front of my house I would like to move.  One is larger and I just don't like the placement of it, considering thorns and it being right by my front door and the kids.

What do I need to know about replanting them elsewhere.   If anything.

TIA!!!

I'm no rose expert, but in my experience roses are almost impossible to kill.  You may dig them up and move them elsewhere and then find that they survive in both places.  In general, though, it's better to transplant when the weather is cool and/or rainy.  hth
