Tandem pillow? newborn and 3.5year old?

I am due to have a babe when dd with be 3.5. she is still nursing allot and I assume will still be then (we shall see)

When she was a newborn i had to have my boppy- it was so difficult without it.

Any one tandem nursed siblings with a boppy? what about a twin nursing pillow? how does this all work?

the boppy never worked for me even with only one child (smaller chest i guess) but nursing my baby sidelying and having my toddler lean over the other side is working for us. good luck!

I would just use regular, sort of flat pillows. The twin pillow was too small for us by 11 months or so, and now, when I do tandem nurse, which isn't too often, I just use regular pillows, one on each side. My kiddos are 20 months now. I'd try your newbie in a football hold, and DS side lying with a pillow under his head. Plus, the twin pillow I have ( EZ2Nurse pillow) is kind of square on the edges, not rounded like a boppy, which might be uncomfortable for your DS's neck if he's only laying his head on it.
