Hi! I'm wondering if I can use breastmilk instead of cow's milk when cooking/baking? Will the nutrients still be there or will they "cook out"? Thanks!
Can I cook with breastmilk?
What a fun question. Certainly it would not end up with fewer nutrients than cow's milk. It will still be chock-full of a nice human balance of nutrients. Yes, a few things will be lost, especially some of the immune provisions, and certainly the flora. Other things you can do with extra breastmilk are to make yogurt or popsicles. Each will preserve different portions of the milk, while most all of the nutrition remains in any case. Happy baking!
