Any NC Waldorf-inspired moms?

Hello, I am Elizabeth and have a 14 month old son.

 

I have been reading blogs and books related to the Waldorf philosophy and feel ready to emerge from my gathering information stage to gettting to know other like minded people close to me.

 

Are there any such families in NC? We live in central NC.

Yes!

 

We are Waldorf inspired homeschoolers in Central NC.  I have a Morning Garden group that meets at my house on Monday mornings.  We have a Waldorf teacher that guides us through the morning.  There is one month left of it if you want to join.  We have a 13 month old with us.

our teacher/guide does away for the summer, one person just had a baby, another family will leave for Idaho for a bit.  so, we'll not do morning garden for the summer. 

 

my family will be homeschooling, Waldorf inspired for this year.  we're real low key about it.

Hi, We are also waldorf-inspired (and unschooling inspired too or maybe I should say eclectic homeschoolers very much inspired by waldorf...), in Durham NC!  I have a 4 yo and a 1 yo and I also run an in-home playschool.  :)

Nice to meet another Durham-mama on here! :D  i have an 8 month old son and trying to raise him in a Waldorf-inspired environment.  I have a feeling there are more around, too.

I would love to meet all the local waldorf-inspired mamas, that would be so fun!  I wish I could join the morning garden group but I teach monday mornings.  It would be lovely to connect up with all of you.

Hey everyone.

 

It is so nice to see fellow NCers.

 

I would really like to see if we could start a meet up. I am unsure how to do this and what is possible but I really would love to have one.

I'd be interested too.  We're the family Gunter mentioned with the 13 month-old...but we're also the family Gunter mentioned who are about to go off to Idaho for several months!  Maybe you'll have a group well-established by the time we get back!?!?  (Hi Aiyasmama--hope the playschool is going well!)

Things have been hectic as we wrap up our school year, but starting the last week in june our schedule gets more flexible and I would still love to meet up with you all!  

 

(Hi Zoe!!!  Good luck with your trip to Idaho (Is it Boise? Our closest friends live there) and I would love to reconnect with you when you get back!!!)

I am also thinking if people are too committed for the summer to meet up in person we can still keep in touch with each other via this forum or emails. Maybe we will get to know each other better and then be able to meet in person when things slow down. I know I am doing alot of tending to my garden, putting food up etc. and such right now.

 

Another idea I have is maybe we start some sort of book club and discuss a collective Waldorf book that we enjoy.

I think this is a good idea, epdeans! Is there anyone else interested in starting a book club?
