I feel sure this question has been asked before but I'm not having luck with search here or google, feel free to direct me to another thread or site that might help. My question is pretty straight forward but feel free to read below for details.
Â
We are a 1 car family driving a 2004 volvo v70 station wagon. My DH is 6'2" and the volvo was one of the only cars we could find where my husband could get the seat far back enough to drive comfortably. Apparently he's all legs.Â
Â
Anyhow, we had our DS in a graco snugride for the first 3mo or so in the center seat, my DH could never get his seat back as far as he needed to without hitting the seat but we dealt. Then we moved DS into a true fit rear facing in the center and without the headrest my DH could **just** get his legs comfortable (while driving). Once we put the headrest on we had to move DS outboard (behind the passenger seat) so that he could drive. The passenger seat is a bit cramped, but it's fine.Â
Â
So now we have LO#2 otw and I'm not ready to FF DS (who will be ~34mo when babe shows up). I need some help figuring this out but most importantly I need to find the convertible seat that takes up the least room front to back! Our TF only RF to 35lb and I would love to put the new babe in the TF (without headrest of course) in the center and put a new seat RF behind the passenger seat. It would be great if the new seat RF until 40lb since DS could be 35lb by the time the new babe comes.
Â
Maybe I should just get a radian and FF DS when the new babe comes, he was 32lbs a few months ago and could very well be 35lb when this LO is born. Help!
Â
TIA!
