Looking for child care in dallas area...

Hi!

We have been using a Waldorf inspired in home day care part time for a while now.  Sadly she is not doing day care any more and we are in the search for a similiar place.  Ds will be 2 in June.  Also, my best friend is looking for something to replace her day care.  Her Ds is 18 mo.  We would like in home, but would also really like to have a nanny at one of our houses and do a 'nanny share'.  Does any one know of any in home holistic (or Waldorf/ Montessori type) day cares or know of any people looking to nanny with those similiar beliefs?  My friend needs full time, so I might do that as well... We are looking in the north dallas, or carrollton area...

Thanks!

Have you tried any of the local agencies?  While they might not have a list that says "Nanny with AP background, montessori training" it is their job to fing you a qualified applicant based on your criteria.  Have you considered finding someone young and willing to learn and they could research the methods?

Good luck and if you find someone I'd love to hear about it!

I know this isn't what you asked, but if you can't find your ideal option, Montessori of Las Colinas has a toddler class. My son goes there (he's 5 now but has been going since he turned 2) and it's year-round (summer optional). So if you need to look at other options, there's one for ya.
