What is weaning/mid-pregnancy milk like??

I think my 2.5 yr old son is weaning....I am 21 wks pregnant and I am not sure if it is the milk or the size my nipples that is leading the way.  He has only nursed once since Sunday morning (yesterday) - I wondered what the milk is like that hasn't been utilized lately....I know my milk probably is changing because of the pregnancy...but is what he will get when he nurses now (if he does) mainly colostrum?  I don't think my milk was fully dried up yet....

It seems so sad to have this relationship be over...but I didn't want to tandem so I guess it is the appropriate time.  :(

it is likely mostly colostrum at this point. you could express a dropv and look at the color to know for sure. yellow or clear is colostrum, white is milk.

Yeah, it's a weird thing when it happens.  My DD weaned somewhere around then in my pregnancy as well.  For me, nursing was painful so it was a relief, but it's sure bittersweet.
