I could NOT believe my dh came home w/this. His boss (lives in a ritzy neighborhood) called him and said their neighbor (someone the neighborhood has deemed "Consumer" because of all the boxes from new big ticket items) was throwing something out he thought we might be interested in. IT WORKS.The darn thing even has lights!  I never even looked at grills this nice since I knew we didn't have the $.....I didn't know they came w/lights!  We just had to clean it up and unclog 2 burners.  Oh, and the wheels don't roll, lol, but dh can fix that.

Crazy - isn't it - we have almost the exact same grill and we also got it off the curb. It literally just needed to be cleaned...

Someone posted a similar one on Kijiji for free in my area.  He stated that he had paid over $1500 for it a few years ago.  And it worked fine.  Obviously he was going to go get a new one.

Our working grill was a curb find.  It isn't quite as fancy as that one... no lights... but it's a far better one that I would have paid money for, that's for sure!

We have a really nice smoker we got for free, too.  And actually our charcoal grill was free too!  Um, we cook outside alot, lol.

My brother took home a grill he found at the dump only to find it was missing a burner, and the cost to replace was $90. There was no way he was going to do that so he sold it on CL for $50.

We do stuff like that all the time.  Amazing what can be resold....Good for him!
