I completed my first cleanse about a month ago. I actually don't care about expelling toxins, etc, but I was anxious to see some quick results from any weight loss that occurred. Like I said, it was my first, it actually taught me more about calorie intake and what calorie range I was comfortable in. It was not effortless, but pretty decent, all considering. I lost 3.5 lbs, and broke my sweet tooth habit (I was on a Shakeology 3 day cleanse, 800-1200 calories per day) so it was certainly not a wasted effort. It did "jumpstart" my diet, and it made my motivation shoot forward.
I have one friend who announced that she made it 25 days on a different type of cleanse, and wanted to make it to 30. But hers sounded so drastic....something about "existing" on lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and some other key ingredients. It sounded like starvation to me!
What's your opinion about cleanses?
