Wanting to explore Austin and the surrounding areas. Â We have found a lot of great stuff to do outside but need inside suggestions for rainy visits. Â My kids are up to age 10.
Are they into indoor inflatable places? There is Locomotion and Hoppin' House, both in South Austin. The Children's Museum is downtown and a lot of fun. Memberships are relatively cheap, and if you got one, it would be a lot more economical if you wanted to visit on a regular basis
Oh, how I wish you needed suggestions for rainy visits. We're in the middle of a crushing drought of record and we'll be lucky if we see an inch of rain all summer.
That said, the Children's Museum is really cool, though a 10 year old might be a bit too old for it. The Nature Center has a cool indoor area.
