Likely moving to Denver area - need recommendations please!

DH and I are seriously thinking about moving to the Denver area after he graduates this August - just depends on the job offers how soon we move. We are all really excited about the idea. :)

I do need some recommendations though - such as what towns to look at and what ones to avoid. We are not going to be ready to buy anything until we are sure we really want to settle there. So rental homes are ideal. Something with a yard to play and garden in, friendly neighbors, nice parks, etc.

I also need

~ a great, active secular HSing group and info on HS activities within the community

~ a fabulous chiro (hopefully one who specializes in gentle upper cervical care)

~ a AP friendly ped, or better yet a family doc

~ a kineisologist/homeopath that is awesome with kids and well versed in food allergies

~ an acupuncturist/chinese medicine doc, also awesome with kids and food allergies

~ a great MW

~ a fun, fantastic dance studio that welcomes boys

~ natural/health food stores with fabulous gluten free/dairy free sections and a willingness to special order specific products

~ farmers markets (especially any that are organic)

Welcome to the front range! We live in Northern Colorado, but I grew up in the Denver area. I don't know much about rental properties, but I'm sure you will find several. I just wanted to chime in with a word about our excellent CSA. They do a wide variety of organic produce, both veggies and fruit, as well as free range organic meat and eggs, local mushrooms and cheese. [=http://grantfarms.com/]Grant Frarm[/]s is their name. We live in Castle Rock which is south of Denver and we really love it! It's super family friendly and a great place to raise kids. There are lots of homeschooling groups/resources available. If you end up in this area I have some great recommendations for the things that you are looking for. For midwives I highly suggest Mountain Midwifery in Englewood, they are amazing! For everything else it would depend on what area you will be moving. Good luck, CO is an awesome place to live. :)
