Nausea & vomiting during labor? Is there any help?

I had a lot of nausea and threw up a bit during the worse contractions with my first birth. I've been having some "false" labour last couple of days, and again I've been getting really nauseas when the stronger contractions hit.

Is there anything you can do for it? Meds, herbs, exercises, etc?

As a doula, I carry peppermint essential oil in my bag and let women smell it when they get nausea. I had a client who was throwing up a lot and had her smell the peppermint oil (not put on skin, but smell) and she stopped throwing up immediately.

Thank you, that's a great tip! :)
