TTC and hair dyes - Page 2

I don't mind the smell and it will diminish considerably in the next 24-48 hours.  I know some people add essential oils.   I  don't wash my hair everyday so I usually wait 48 hours to wash the first time and you may still smell it after that.  In terms of the mess, the indigo is the tough part since you did the cover the grey version.  What a stained mess it made in my tub!!  UGH!  If you don't have a ton of grey you could use the regular version next time, see how that works.  I also didn't have any issues rinsing, though I admit it's definitely harder than just rinsing shampoo!

Glad you like the color!  Post a pic? nod.gif

It's not much different than my normal color but it covered the gray and it's natural! I tried getting pics in the sun, but it's hard to tell the actual color. It didn't come out red at all, and it's look in the sun that there is some light brown, too.

If I use the regular LM without the two steps, wil it turn the whites that I have red? That's my only fear. Also, can you use LM all through pregnancy, even in the first trimester?

That looks great!!!   I did find with the lighter shades (medium and dark brown) that there were many more red highlights.   So if you don't  want that, then I'd stick with the cover the grey version.  And as far as I know, henna and indigo are just innocuous plants and shouldn't pose any risk to a pregnancy.  I've used it twice now in the first tri.
