Possibly have strep throat

I may have strep throat. I'm probably going to be going to a walk in/urgent care clinic tomorrow. I am allergic to penicillin and am nursing my 4 month. Can anyone tell me what antibiotics for my case?

I had strep and went to urgent care a week ago. I am also nursing. I was offered three different antibiotics, and I think 2 of them were not penicillin, but I am not positive. An allergy to penicillin is pretty common so I guarantee they'll have an alternative for you. I cannot tell you what antibiotics to take, but I recommend you go in to urgent care as I did. They do go through the breastmilk, and they have the potential to cause a yeast infection in the baby (mine has had no problems though and she is on antibiotics too).  But you gotta do it if it is strep. I tried to treat mine naturally and failed and it got SO bad.
