Hi

my niece was acting normal then out of nowhere she started to breathe rapidly like she was scared of something and then she turned pale and had a blank stare for a few minutes. She was staring at this one spot then she acted like nothing happened after that and is fine.

yes, that does sound like a seizure.  I would definitely keep watch and note if it happens again.  Also I would discuss with doctor.

Yes, this does sound like seizure activity and I would advise you to call a physician right away (I know this is a post that was up a several days ago, but I would sure still call).  Seizures are sometimes also accompanied by urinary incontinence.  What you describe sounds like what is called a "petit mal" or "staring" seizure.

  I have a family member who has petit mal seizures. We will be in the middle of something and she goes blank, sometimes her eye lids will flutter... Definitely call the doc.
