Why yes it was my birthday, Ryleeee, thank you for thinking of me! :) And I can't wait to see that chubby little doll! So happy you're through it!

Evergreen, I remain amazed by all you mamas that are working while doing this...! And I promise you the baby will come out eventually. :) Lol!

Becca, sounds like you guys really did have a great wknd! I got all teary-eyed when we did our Last Dinner Out As The Four of Us... and then we've had dinner out a couple of times since then. :D But hey, we're in the middle of a move, you know how that can be. :)

Thanks for sharing about Ryleeee, Elonwy!! Can't wait to hear more details!

L&K, I wish I had something like knitting to keep me busy right now...

Camprunner, I'm starting to know what you mean. As big as I am, when this kiddo moves, it's been making me gasp lately with how intense it feels!

Gwendolyn and Cerise - now I'm starving! That sounds SO good...

Well... I thought things might be getting real on my birthday.. started having some intense and painful contractions that night, but they weren't at all consistent and went away. And now they're doing it again, so I'm thinking that's just the new pattern for warm-up. I REFUSE to get all "oooh.. maybe today!!" again, my brain just can't handle that! LOL. Dh is not able to get home tonight from his first real trip with this company, so obviously I will NOT have this baby until he does, sometime tomorrow morning. By God. I won't pack for the birth center either. I know where this baby's stubborness comes from, you know! :) I'll pack tomorrow morning and bring the birth center stuff with us tomorrow morning, though, essentially guaranteeing nothing will happen, of course. After all the planning with that apartment so close to the birth center, I'm on my own with the kids, 45 minutes away in our house for the 2nd night! And really not concerned about it... just longing for eggplant parmesan. :) Mom will be here tomorrow, and I managed to do some laundry and sort through some too small stuff with the older kids today. Got lots of flats and prefolds and wipes and nursing pads from Mom all washed and ready to go, so yay for that.

My big gift yesterday was my nephew and his girlfriend making it through the tornado in Joplin, MO. They were both at work. Their apartment was essentially vaporized - it was on the third floor and there is no third floor on that building now. Their cat hid in some closet downstairs and survived it - yay for smart kitties! They're just so grateful to still be here and together, they're handling things pretty well. It always seems like something you hear about happening so far away, and while MO isn't close, my nephew sure is! He's only 12 years younger than I am, and I babysat for him so much as a teen, plus he looks like me! We're the rebel redheads in the family. They're not sure if they'll even stay in MO now, and they hadn't been there long, but I can't blame them. His girlfriend is from CA and she was having a hard enough time adjusting (they moved there for her job) before this happened, and her company would work with her on moving back to Colorado. I just wish I could do more for them from so far away!

I thought there would be more babies here after missing a day! I guess it's past the point of more of us having had them than not? Crazy!

lizzie, glad your nephew is ok. The pictures coming in from MO are just scary.

Rylee, CONGRATS!!

Lost a ton of plug yesterday. Probably gonna use my breast pump today. I'm also gonna call my OB to discuss everything that happened last week and request that if we make it to Thursday she try to break my water before doing the surgery. Hey, it's not "natural" but it's an option, right? Praying we don't make it that far though!!

yep we had her! she is GORGEOUS! such a chunky monkey. i'm in the middle of piecing together the birth story in between napping and nursing and drinking water ... holy balls i have never been more thirsty in my life. honestly.

zao aaven was born under water in our living room as the sun rose this morning at 5:32 am into my hands while elliott smith spun quietly on the record player. she is 9 lbs 3.5 ounces and 20.5 inches long. she is perfect and spent the entire day sleeping and nursing. here are a couple photos:

Becca- congratulations!! Hoping for a great birth for you!!

lizzie- My thoughts are with your family. I am so thankful your brother and his gf made it throught the tornado and the smart little kitty too!!!

I can't wait til my ultrasound on Thursday. It would be nice to know if I'm having a baby sooner rather than later. The placenta is being weird so we're keeping an eye on it. induction may be necessary and I am fine with that at this point I feel so ready to not be pregnant yet so unprepared to have this baby.

I did cry when I was putting away freshly washed baby clothes and I got to the "Born at Home with Love" onesie. Home birth still isn't off the table but it's less and less of a possibility every day.

yay, becca!!  sending good thoughts your way :))

ryleee, zao is a cutie... congrats!

evergreen, i hope your US goes well on thursday.

AFM-  today is the day i had in mind but since i'm having no signs of labor i don't think it'll happen.  i think i'm going to take dd for walk in a little bit.  unfortunately, i can't do the long walk like i did to start her labor because she'll only walk so fast for so long... but some walking has to be better than puttering around here :)

Ryleeee, Zao is so sweet!!!! Love those sweet cheeks! And the name! And my dh loves Elliot Smith! :) Can't wait for details!

Becca! WOOHOO!! I'll be thinking of you!! ELVs!!

Evergreen, I feel you. I think my midwife is being weird, thinking that bc we moved out of the apartment we're planning on having the baby here at the house - she knows it's what I wanted. We're not planning that, but... :-/ it IS what I wanted. Like you, I'm also pretty much to the .. "could we just HAVE THE BABY" stage though, too! :) Hope things stay "ok" with your placenta. That's got to be a little nerve wracking.

Thanks for the thoughts for my family, y'all. :)

Mom gets here this afternoon, dh gets home this afternoon. I should pack for the birth center but I'm not yet... At least things are semi-centralized. Suddenly feeling like the house is a wreck - cause it is! - but it's suddenly bothering me, which is either a good sign or just plain silly. Mom knows we just moved and she knows I suck at moving. :)

Yay Ryleee!!!!!!!!

Yay Becca!!!!!!!

I'm still pregnant. Was due last Saturday. So, looks like this might be a boy.My oldest was 10 days over and my younger was 13 days over......The girls were 4 days late,10 days late and 4 days early.I've gone into labor twice now, obviously false both times.I'm worried that baby cannot get into position to engage!Which is really lame cos it was SO low for 2 months until completely moving when I first went into false labor. The nerve! So I've been stair lunging, bellydancing, working my butt off and then knitting, drinking intense RRL infusions, took all my caulophyllum,.....nothing.To the extent that my body is now totally used to this and is feeling better than the whole last 9 months!!!!!!!! I could stay this way for a while!(well, not mentally or emotionally)I also have a whiney, mopey hovering husband, which is SO annoying to me!!!!!!! Like it's my fault he has to go to work another day! JERK! I didn't tell him about my last false alarm, thank goodness. It took him 3 days to get over the first one.I am also not looking forward to the pain of labor.I usually LOVE giving birth and everything about it, but I've got this nasty hemmerhoid and it scares me to birth and blow my butt out any more than I already have.Seriously.Sorry TMI.....But really, it's terrifying to me.The birth will likely hurt less and be less traumatic than the 'roid. So, if this baby follow the plan of our fourth,it'll be a boy, born in June and be at least 9 lbs.I think I'll call the midwife today and whine about the baby's position. She might have some ideas.

Congrats Ryleee.  She is adorable!

Yay! Becca!

I'm still here ands till pregnant :) Feeling much better after drinking a ton of water and some tea yesterday.  So I'm going to try to continue that trend today.  Really hoping I'm not pregnant forever at this point.

Rylee- she is gorgeous!!

Becca- elv's to you!! I hope the birth goes smoothly!

Woke up at 6ish to a contraction that hurt and have been contracting every 10 minutes...I finally got out of bed because I wasn't sleeping any more. Now just waiting to see if it turns into the real deal. I've been losing more and more of my mucous plug since yesterday.
And i forget who else is worried about birth and hemorrhoids...but me too! I just had two come out and they hurt. I'm praying they don't get worse during the birth!

ryleee, what a cutie! love the cheeks smile.gif

so yay, I was 2-3cm and 80% effaced at my apt! I guess all the cramping/etc over the last 24 hours was doing *something* - and at -1 station. So I am just happy when I *do* go into labor some work is done already smile.gif A bit of bloody mucous this morning, but not a lot. I biked to work and back which made the cramping feel a bit better.

I am still having ctx, not sure how far apart, but some are a bit intense, if I'm moving around especially. We'll see if it turns into anything smile.gif

And YAY Becca!!!!  Hope you're holding your little one in you arms by now!

I have an appointment tomorrow with my midwife.  Just waiting impatiently at this point, and I haven't even reached my EDD.  I've been having sharp, stabbing pains in my inner thigh lately.  They come on so suddenly and are so painful they literally make me stop in my tracks and I've even yelled out in pain.  Not fun.  I need to get myself to a chiropractor, but I was putting it off in hopes that the baby would be here by now.
