Well our son arrived at 36 weeks gestation- thankful I held him in for those extra 2 weeks because he did have some minor breathing issues and some temp issues in the first 24 hrs...but those did resolve and he was able to come home friday evening!
He was born at 3:59 pm and weighed in at 7 lbs 3oz and was 21" long! He was premature and everyone was amazed at his big boy size! They said it did help him to be bigger! :0)
The labor info~ basically I kept having prelabor junk....for 3 days after coming offf bedrest on friday...tuesday night I was having some pretty strong braxton hicks feeling contractions...we went to my midwife checkup wed at 10:45 and when she checked me I was a full 5 cm and 80% effaced so she sent us straight to the hospital. My water broke at noonish and he arrived a few hours after that. He came so fast that our labor nurse Tammy had to catch him!! He came in one contraction with ONE push....super fast and super intense natural birth with no meds! Our midwife came running in a few minutes after he was born to take care of the placenta etc....It was wild! Because he was premature they took him immediatly to the warmer and suctioned him etc so I didn't even get to see what he looked like or hold him for a solid 20 minutes after he was born which was agony for me!!
