Obviously, no one knows for sure since every baby and birth are different, but just wondering what others' experiences have been.
Â
My first two children had the same father. Both times, I went almost 2 weeks "overdue." Both labours were very similar as well, in that I had no real early labour--I had very strong and painful contractions right from the beginning. Both were also very long labours--24 and 36 hours. The first time, I only ever dilated to 3cm before they did the c-section, and the second time, I also dilated very slowly (though i did eventually get to 10cm and started pushing, then he moved and wouldn't come down and i ended up with another c/s.) Both babes were fairly large--my dd was 8 lbs 2.5 oz, and my son was 9 lbs, 3 oz.Â

This baby has a different father. I've noticed that i haven't gained as much with this pregnancy as with the other ones, and as of my last ultrasound, baby was measuring right on target, so not overly huge (maybe.) Wondering if I can expect my labour to be similar to the others (overdue, slow to dilate, etc,) or if it's possible I can expect it to be totally different. I know each subsequent baby is usually larger, so does that still usually hold true if the baby has a different father, or is it possible this babe could be smaller?Â

Hoping for a VBA2C this time, and I know nobody can predict how things will go, just curious if those who've had babies with different dads have noticed that their bodies still acted the same in labour, and if their babies were similar sizes, or if they noticed any big differences, or none at all.
