The *frisky* ONE Thread ~May 22-28~ - Page 3

Ahhhh, FINALLY.

AF showed today. So, finally a new cycle. I know I'm going to do the CBFM, but I'm not sure I'm going to do much else. I'm really ONLY hoping for a normal cycle this month. I might start temping at the end of AF, but I'm not sure yet. It just doesn't work well with my sleep patterns regardless of how bad I want to be sure I'm Oing - I just don't feel like I can be sure even with temping. I'll see how I feel in a week, I guess.

Shelley - woohoo! Glad to hear your super long cycle is finally over! Hopefully the next one is better!

AFM - finally had a temp jump this morning! Also... I got my wish! Here is what FF says when I enter my O date:

I had some pink cm last night with barely visible brown spotting, anc light cramping before. Nothing today. I am 10dpo. Can you guys look at my chart and tell me what you think? Thanks!

Souire: Yay! I'm crossing my fingers for you! That would be so fun to be due on your Dad's bday!

filiadeluna: I'm new to reading charts, so I don't have any interpretation for you. Good luck though!

AFM (what does this mean lol?): My temperature went up for the first time this morning. It's been really steady for the past few days, so hopefully that means ovulation. I did wake up an hour later though, and I'm new at this. I have a really bad migraine, and I usually take high doses of Ibuprofen for them, but I googled it yesterday and discovered they delay ovulation! Yikes! Why isn't this common knowledge! I didn't take any, so I can't really see straight today, but hopefully the change in hormones will make it go away.

prenatalcoach- so weird to see your pic here, i follow you on twitter! haha.  i saw your post this morning on the 2ww and i thought "i bet she woudl like MDC ttc board" haha! good luck to you!

sourire- glad you got your wish! hope the temp stays up for you, then goes up again for your BFP!!!!!

Dandy Lion- yikes! thats sounds awful! maybe you could take a lower dose to help even a little?

filiadeluna - well its either implantation bleeding or the beginning of AF. I would test tomorrow if your temp is higher than today.

Dandy Lion - AFM means "as for me", and if you see anyone write AAM that means "all about me". I also took a look at your chart and it might be ovulation. It also might be a random temp jump. Normally to know for sure its ovulation, you have to see at least 3 temps that are all higher than your 5 previous temps (have you read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility? that's where I got that rule). Another good sign is if you stop having EWCM.

Sourire - You are moving on without me! Hopefully your temp stays up AFM my temp actually went down a little...Hoping that means it's going to go up tomorrow (I do sometimes have a pattern where it will go down before shooting up). I'm still very hopeful because I seem very fertile right now lol! Lots of EWCM and VERY HSO open and a little bit of cramping...

DandyLion - yes, it could mean you have ovulated! It would be pretty early. How long are your cycles normally? If you did O now and your LP is in the normal range your cycles would be 26-29 days. I guess we will see if your temp continues to stay up and rise! Yep, ibuprofen is a no no irked.gif I'm not sure why these companies don't have it in big letters on the bottle! I also used to have debilitating migraines and wanted to share somethings that have worked well for me! I have eliminated soy from my diet. I discovered I was sensitive to it and it was triggering headaches/migraines. Chiropractic care - to allow proper nerve flow. And acupuncture - creates proper balance in the body and proper communication between your body's organs and hormones. Best of luck!

Filiadeluna - Here are my thoughts. a) looks like you BD the night before, during the LP the cervix is usually at it's lowest position and firm and is in danger of being tapped by the penis sometimes causing a little LP spotting. When this has happened to me it is usually bright red though and goes away that day. b) Looking at your charts from the past few months it looks like you usually have 1-2 days of spotting before AF. Maybe she is coming/or trying to come a little early? c) Could be implantation. You don't have a definite implantation dip but that doesn't mean that you can't have implantation bleeding. I don't have any experience w/ implantation bleeding though. I guess only time will tell!

Well, I think I finally Oed in the past day or two. I have creamy CM (after over 2 weeks of wet CM) and my cervix is low, firm and almost closed. Unfortunately, my temp has not jumped up but it is higher than it has been recently. I guess I can only wait and see what happens in the next couple of days.

That's too funny! Thank you! I'm *brand* new here. Still trying to figure it out :) Thought it might be more appropriate to post about EWCM and the like somewhere like this... not sure my twitter and FB friends signed up for that when they started following me LOL

PrenatalCoach - I was curious after vivica posted so I went and checked out your blog. It took me about 2 minutes of reading for you to become my new hero biggrinbounce.gif I already signed up for email updates hehe! I'm really into a lot of the stuff you mention on there - the traditional foods movement, hypnobabies, lunapads, everything! You should totally put a link to your blog in your signature, I'm sure many people here would be interested.

ETA: lol... I just liked you on FB as well and one of my friends immediately sent me a message "is there a reason you're liking a prenatal coach???"... haha... oops... not that im really trying to keep my ttc a secret from anyone, but I hadn't mentioned it to anyone in that particular group of friends yet.

I just came across this article about "unfriendly foods for fertility".  Some of them I knew, but peas!?  I never would have guessed that!  Check it out: http://www.babyhopes.com/blog/5-unfriendly-foods-for-fertility/

Noooooooooooooo.... not peanut butter! I can't stop eating that! I refuse to believe that PB could possibly be bad... especially the all natural kind I eat.

kayluh- if you haven't tested yet its probably OK to do so today. :)  iv never heard of "shooting nerve one sided nipple pain" as a symptom...but it does sound like a superhero trait to me! superhero.gif hope its a good sign. :)

bubble ma- you just ruined my entire meal plan, i was going to eat spinach wrapped peas and edemame, dipped in Twinkies over ground beef!   gah!!! (and to break from the sarcasm train, thanks for the link! i didn't know some of that stuff)

Hi Kayluhh - The main difference between sensitive/painful pms/AF boobs and pregnant boobs (that I have read/researched and experienced) is that pregnancy symptom boobs are definitely swollen. As in actually seem/are bigger than normal, and they are VERY (at least were for me) painful to the touch! Like don't don't even brush my shirt my boobs might fall off painful! Ok so I might be slightly exaggerating but this is how it was for me. And again it is very normal to have achy/sensitive boobs before AF too but they wouldn't be swollen. Don't count yourself out until AF shows!

Just wanted to comment on the peanut butter thing - I don't have any studies to quote in front of me so bear with me and don't criticize me to harshly winky.gif Why I don't eat peanut butter/why it is "bad" for you to my understanding:

-Basically peanuts become rancid the moment they are picked. Yup high mold content.

-Peanut butter is a goitrogenic food. Basically suppresses thyroid function and can induce hypothyroidism and goiter. Clearly a good working thyroid is important for fertility.

-Peanut butter (peanuts) are one of the most common allergens and some believe that if you eat a lot of common allergen foods and do become pregnant there is a higher chance of your child being allergic.

-Peanut butter gives me heartburn...

That said it is not terribly bad for you. Un processed organic just peanuts nothing else added peanut butter is probably "ok" and is still a pretty good source of protein. I just choose to eat organic almond butter eat.gif

Just popping in to post a link to my chart for post #1. This is my first cycle temping, and I've surprisingly managed to temp around the same time almost daily. I don't know how much my frequent night-waking and frequent night-nursing toddler is affecting things. I was having regular 35 day cycles for nearly 8 months and have now seemingly moved to 42 day cycles for the past two. I seem to be following the same for this one as I'm CD17 with no signs of O. Anyone else have regular AND long cycles?

Good waiting to those waiting to test and waiting to O.

Anyways, here are the links to my chart. I'm not sure which is needed for the thread. My Ovulation Chart  or http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/odinsmum.

Sourire - Awww thanks, you're too sweet! I wasn't sure if I was 'allowed' to put a link to my blog in my signature (I think I *just* got access to add a signature - exciting!) Will do!

That's so funny about FB (and happens ALL THE TIME when people friend me on FB or 'like' my page haha Sorry!)

BubbleMa - Peas?! Haven't heard that one before!

P.S. Is there a 'right' way to post replies? How I posted above or with the " " - help a newbie out! :)

Edited to say: oh dear, I'm like a bull in a china shop, I mistakenly reported my post. Sorry moderator, didn't mean to click on that little red flag!
