Morning Sickness and Gender - Page 2

On average, when pregnant with a girl, the HCG levels are higher. That can lend to more morning sickness. You can google it, because it is true. I have read the studies on it. When I went back and reviewed my own HCG levels, they were way higher for my girl than my boys.

We're expecting a girl and I've had horrible all-day nausea throughout this pregnancy. I'm 39 wks and still taking diclectin daily.

I had my daughter at 17, then a son at 37... I don't know if it was the age thing or what... but I had exactly the opposite of the study... not even one day of m/s with my girl, and if I could have been sick more days than EVERY SINGLE day of my preg with my boy.. I would have been! lol It was horrible! (love being pregnant though)

Also... the old wives tale about heartburn & sex... uh yeah, not true either... had bad heartburn with BOTH, but my girl had a TON of hair.. my son... not so much. he resembled a little old man at first.. inch or so of hair around sides and back, nearly bald on top. lol didnt take long for it to even out though. =)

studies and old wive's tales alike... can go either way.. every pregnancy is different.. what's true for one person or little person.. well there's a 50/50 chance of it being true for the next. lol
