Congratulations!!

Keegan Jasper Faria: Our Birth without Boundaries. Dp wrote this late last night.

So Sarah's water broke at 6am Monday morning. She called me home from work and we cooked and cleaned all day. Mary (Our Midwife) was in and out every few hours to check on things. The labor was constant but wasn't increasing in intensity. At 5pm Sarah was 1.5cm dilated and Mary suggested some caster oil. From then on Sarah's labor was on the fast track. I had the pool up and ready but Sa couldn't get comfy

So she decided that our tiny little bathroom floor was where she wanted to be. Sarah labored there with me over her for a couple of hours. Mary was sitting on the toilet and I was directly beside Mary. Sarah started pushing while on the floor all of sudden. I told her she was pushing and her reply was... I know. I laughed. I called for Holden to come into the room and she got up and hunched over our original cast iron tub (that's on a pedestal) to push. Her contractions were FAST and very intense. Maybe every minute or so, some were even closer. She pushed a couple of times and all of a sudden the baby's head was there. In the next push (30 seconds later) half of his head was out.

Now I have seen a lot of birth videos and I was there for Holden so I thought I had a few more pushes to go. The head would come out, then maybe a shoulder or 2 then the body.
Not this guy!
He SHOT out like a rocket. His head came out (I remember thinking ok now he is going to look around and in a couple more pushes he will be born). Nope! After his his head was out, the rest of his body came right after in one fluid motion. Mary's and my hands were going to grab this little fast moving baby. His cord was loosely wrapped around his neck so with Mary's help we got him all situated. Then I asked Holden to tell everyone what the baby was, he was SO happy when he got to say it's a BOY! He had known all along, even when everyone else said the baby was a girl.
It was So awesome to have everyone there. Astar326 took pictures the whole time and now we have a beautiful record of Keegan's birth. The boys would play in the other room with Mike(KD) and every so often Holden would come in and check on us. Judy(MIL) was there and helped out with the boys and frosted Keegan's birthday cake.
Mary was there watching the whole time in the hall. She would come in from time to time to check on the baby but for the most part let us do our thing (which is what we wanted). I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Sarah's milk came in Thursday and Keegan is getting better at breastfeeding. What a little joy! He was sitting on my arms the whole time I was writing this. Ohh how blessed we are to have our little one.
