I first subscribed to Mothering back in the early 90s.  My friend gave me a few copies of hers to BORROW, and I was totally hooked.  Unfortunately, there will be no way to lend or give copies to friends any more.  I feel that Mothering Magazine was the best way to turn women on to natural parenting ideas, which I feel the mainstream magazines (Parenting, Baby Talk, Parents, etc) do not sufficiently cover.  I am very disappointed that I will no longer be able to read my magazine in bed, or at a doctors office, or other waiting areas, which are about the only times/places I get to read.  There are many mothers out there that do not have internet access, or have very little time to get on the computer.  I only have time right now because my son is napping, and I happen to have the day off work.  So, I guess this is good bye for me...for the most part.  When I do get computer time, I have only about 5 to 15 minutes, and that is just enough time to do work and get off.  I don't have time to be going to a website and looking around.  I am sure I am not the only person who feels this way. Most of the mothers I know don't get much time on the computer either, and it would be highly unlikely I could get someone to go to a website to read an article about circumcision risks, when before I could just hand them a magazine.  This totally sucks.  I feel deprived.  I feel like there will be a little emptiness where Mothering used to be.Â
