+OPK Question

Thread Starter

I'm not by any means a newbie to TTCing, but I am to the OPKs.  B/c I've taken a break from temping for a while, I have been using the OPKs and have not ever had a (+) until yesterday afternoon.  I took another late this am and had another (+) just about the same darkness (popped right up).

For those of you with more experience with OPKs--how long will you have this type of result?

I'll test tonight again.  It just seems strange to me for some reason.

Thanks!

For ME they don't work..  they're positive for over 2 weeks for me. But I think that's normal for someone with pcos. :/

You're only ripe for 24 hours so I would experiment and write it all down

It is not uncommon for the surge to last a day or two, and if you caught the beginning of the surge, it may take a bit longer to leave than if you caught the end. Some months, I have a reallllllly short surge ( like a 6 hours window) and dome cycles I have had like 3 days of + opk's... Not sure why really, but The cycles were normal, and i was def ovulating, though  was charting along side using the OPK's. what brand are you using?

Some LH surges can last two days, mine usually do. The second day of the surge is when I ovulate.

Blessings.

using wodfo (sp?) --internet cheapies.  though, at 4pm today (24hrs after the 1st test) i tested and it was a faint line (as I have had many times before).  However, the prior 2 tests yesterday pm and this am were def. +.   i think i was just impatient with getting a clear picture of a result.

another Q---does it make sense that yesterday my cm was less fertile than days before and today barely there?  should we still bd?

thanks. :)

totally cover bases and BD, sometimes CM doesn't always match up with O... I love the wondfo's!!  That is what I use. I do find though, that a true positive for me is when the test line is darker than the control line, I had a lot of "just as dark" lines leading up to the real positive... but like I said, some months are just different and strange... I hope this ends in a BFP for you!! Good luck!!

=)
