Is there a way to delete really old threads I started?

I was 18 or so when I joined MDC, and I was looking back at my oldest threads, and there is some very personal information about myself, my husband, my kids, etc., that I don't want to be public anymore at this point in my life. Is there a way for me to delete threads myself, or can a mod delete everything before a certain date for me? Thanks in advance.

We don't mass delete posts nor is it acceptable for members to do so. Editing is fine but only to remove very pertinent identifying info from posts that are serious privacy or security concerns. If you are found to be mass deleteing posts rather than editing them to remove the concerning information then you may lose your ability to edit entirely. You can send me a list of specific posts you want edited and I'll take a look.

Speaking of older posts, is it just me or is there not a way to look past the first page of someone's posting history? I keep getting an error code (404, I think).

I'm getting the same error. Thanks for catching that and letting me know. I'll report it to our tech staff so they can look into it.

I don't seem to have an option to edit some of these posts. The ones of concern are from around the year 2003. Am I missing the edit button, or can I not edit those?

Older posts may have a permanent lock on them that can only be lifted by an administrator. If you have an urgent privacy issue that necessitates an edit of an older post you can contact me by PM to link me to the post and I can make the edit for you.
